Inforum speaker will discuss maintaining personal and professional health for employers, employees
Inforum will present Diana Bitner, Medical Director, Michigan Medical PC, in an event held Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, 5-7:30 p.m. at The Conference Center, Western Michigan University in Grand Rapids.
Bitner
will discuss women's health issues and how women's health impacts their personal and professional lives, and what employers can do to ensure that their employees remain healthy and productive.
Women are typically the decision-makers for their families, but they often put their own health needs aside. Bitner will talk about how women can drive their life-habits to remain healthy. She'll also discuss how employers can cr eate an environment where health issues are valued, options for best health practices encouraged, and rewards given for employees who take preventive measures to preserve their health.
Bitner notes that leaders in the community, business owners and decision makers can make a difference in promoting and creating awareness around women's health.

DETROIT - The economic impact of the recession, fluctuating gasoline prices, and changing consumer demand for safe, sustainable vehicles will be the focus of a panel discussion among experts at the annual Inforum NAIAS Auto Show Breakfast on Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
Titled "Recession Defense: Smart Vehicle Choices," the breakfast is presented by Inforum, one of the largest and most prestigious professional organizations for women in the Midwest. Industry leaders will reflect factors that influence how consumers can balance making smart, small, safe and sustainable automotive choices.
A highlight of this event will include the release of new data by Lonnie Miller, Director of Industry Analysis, R.L. Polk & Co., on the loyalty of customers who purchase hybrid vehicles.
